Our pale pink 1682 Pinot Noir Méthode Cap Classique is fresh with fruity aromas of raspberry jelly, wild strawberry sorbet, red apple skin and toasted brioche. The wine has a very fine mousse that lifts the raspberry-like aromas and is balanced well with a creamy texture and bright acidity with a lingering dry finish. Enjoy in its youth or cellar for 3 to 5 years to promote a more savoury flavour development.

Our gracious Steenberg Syrah’s full red colour is a sign of the flavours and aromas that await you in the glass. Violet, nutmeg, boysenberry, and cherry sherbet on the nose transform into a medium-bodied, delicate black fruit and spice driven wine with soft, fine tannins, integrated acidity and a silky texture. The ideal partner to fillet au poivre – in fact all red meats grilled over open flames.

Both terroir and treatment are immediately evident in the glass. White nectarine, grapefruit, blackcurrant and cape gooseberry marry on both the nose and palate. Acidity and spice form the backbone, dominating on the palate, while a creamy texture rounds out the overall mouthfeel. A lingering mineral finish completes the experience.
This wine will be enhanced by a food pairing such as shellfish, a Thai curry accented by ginger and lemon grass, a savoury tart tatin or a single wedge of salty pecorino.
Although beautifully balanced from date of release, this wine is still developing. Drink now, but wait five to seven years for a truly evolved experience.

The Black Swan 2018 shows notes of lime, gooseberry, ruby grapefruit and fynbos on the nose, while the palate supports the aromas with blackcurrant, lemon zest, passion fruit, yellow apple and fresh fig leaves. A mouth-watering acidity accompanies the full, medium-weighted palate, achieved with extended lees contact in tank. This is a great food wine and will reward cellaring of between 10 – 20 years.
