Job Description:

As a Chef de Partie at Bistro Sixteen 82, you will play a key role in the kitchen operation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and present high-quality dishes according to our menu specifications, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
  • Station Management: Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of dishes during service.
  • Menu Innovation: Contribute creative ideas to menu development, suggesting new dishes and techniques to enhance the culinary offerings.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular checks to ensure adherence to recipes and plating guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Training: Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, assisting in their skill development.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling stock levels, minimizing wastage, and ensuring efficient ingredient usage.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or a similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor combinations, and plating aesthetics.
  • Creativity and ability to contribute innovative ideas to the menu.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
