Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prep Chef to assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and measure ingredients for recipes, ensuring all items are ready for cooking.
  • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Prep Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent is a plus, but not required.
